Indus managerial training moves first-time and middle managers from doing to managing — planning, delegation, performance conversations, feedback and running the team — with AI-practised conversations and four to six weeks of on-the-job application before certification.
Who it is for
Team leaders and supervisors managing others for the first time; managers in their first years who were promoted for technical or sales results; middle managers leading through team leaders. Variants for sales team leaders and factory first-line supervisors.
Outcomes we commit to
- Every participant runs planned one-to-ones, delegates with clear accountability and holds at least one performance conversation during the application phase — observed by their manager.
- Improvement in the team metrics you choose: attrition, absenteeism, target achievement, engagement.
- Certification on a scored managerial conversation and people-process assessment.
How it runs
Two classroom days on the role, planning, delegation, expectations and performance, feedback and difficult conversations, meetings and one-to-ones, and the basics of the people processes managers must run. Then four to six weeks applying two behaviours with the real team, with AI rehearsal and an Indus coach; then a follow-up on what happened.
Why this matters
Most attrition is a manager problem. Indus has trained first-line managers in telecom, automotive, BFSI, FMCG and manufacturing for three decades; the programme is built on what those managers actually face in an Indian workplace, in English or Hindi.

What the programme covers
Frequently asked
Who is managerial training for?
People managing others for the first time or in their first two to three years: team leaders, supervisors, newly promoted managers. A middle-manager version covers leading through team leaders.
How is it different from leadership training?
Managerial training is about running the team well — planning, delegation, performance, feedback, meetings. Leadership programmes build on that with style, influence, change and strategy.
How long does it take?
Two classroom days, four to six weeks of on-the-job application with an Indus coach checking in, and a one-day follow-up. It is often module one of a longer leadership journey.
Do you have a version for factory supervisors or sales team leaders?
Yes — the factory first-line supervisor and sales team leader variants use cases from those environments and the same method.
